SCS Pictures is an independent film production company dedicated to creating bold, character-driven stories that explore the resilience of the human spirit.
Founded by actor, writer, and producer Stephanie Stolk, SCS Pictures was built on a passion for meaningful storytelling and a belief that film has the power to connect people through shared experiences, emotions, and ideas. Our mission is to develop stories that entertain, challenge, and inspire while remaining grounded in authentic human experiences.
From intimate personal dramas to psychological thrillers and historical narratives, SCS Pictures is drawn to stories that place ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. Our projects explore themes of survival, identity, sacrifice, redemption, and the choices that define who we are.
Our productions include the short films Grassroots and Lineage, both of which reflect our commitment to authentic storytelling, strong performances, and thoughtful filmmaking. Building on that foundation, SCS Pictures continues to develop an exciting slate of original projects, including feature films and short-form content spanning drama, thriller, horror, and historical genres.
Current and upcoming projects include stories of personal transformation, survival against impossible odds, isolated communities hiding dark secrets, and individuals forced to confront the consequences of their choices. Our Team
Stephanie Stolk is a Canadian screenwriter whose work explores moral complexity, identity, and the resilience of the human spirit. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, she brings a character-driven approach to storytelling, crafting narratives that are both emotionally grounded and visually compelling.
Her recent work includes a feature-length screenplay and multiple short films, with stories that often examine the cost of survival and the choices that define us. Drawing from her experience as an actor and producer, Stephanie writes with a strong sense of performance and structure, creating roles and worlds that translate powerfully to the screen.
She is committed to developing bold, meaningful stories for film and television in both Canada and the United States.
